Chapter 6 :
Based on the information I have learned in chapter 6, I believe I would prefer to teach in a classroom that has more digital technologies. Digital Technologies are a great privilege to have in the classroom. I believe that students are going to want to learn more while working with digital technologies. Would you as a student rather take notes on a pad and paper, or would you rather have a lap top, or even an IPad? Having an electronic whiteboard to use to show students how to do a math problem for example is going to get them to pay attention more due to how virtual the electronic whiteboard is. Also, you can display images up on the whiteboards, so the students have a better image and you can edit things to make them better. Also, have a touch screen computer monitor is something students will love to because it is much easier to use and fun to play with. A final reason why i believe digital technologies are great is because I like to use them and I think having them in my classroom would be a great advantage to teach my students.
Chapter 11:
A traditional audio technology that I think can be used in the classroom today is oral journals. A creative way to use a oral journal is in a debate class. Students can have a debate about something like, should students have to wear school uniforms and audio their arguments in class. Later after the debate is over, pair up with someone from the different team, and listen to your arguments and put them together to come to a conclusion. An emerging audio technology is the CDs, CDs can be used in a classroom early in the year when the teacher is trying to get to know you. The teacher can ask students to burn songs onto a CD that tell them something about there life. One traditional visual technology are bulletin boards. A bulletin board can be used for many things in a classroom from class projects to posting grades for the students to see. One emerging visual technology is digital projectors. A digital projector can be used to show images on a projector screen. A teacher can use this to play a review game, where he or she can show a picture and ask the students what it is.

Theoretical Foundations Blog
My Freshman Algebra, and Sophomore geometry teacher was Mr. Sunderman. In his class he used the cognitivist perspective as well as a constructivist perspective. He demonstrated the cognitive ways in class by writing notes up on the board and having us follow along and he would give examples to us on the board. He then printed out the notes so we could view them and make mental notes on them. I don't think I will use this in the classroom because I know some students are hands on learners and they must be writing down and participate to learn the ideas. Sunderman showed his constructivist approach when he did projects because students were actually working together as a team to make something such as a dart board in our class. I will definitely use this perspective in a class because it gets the students involved and they learn very well from it.
